Project Management

From annual equipment refresh through to million-pound full kit out of new build projects there are a range of options where we can help you keep a handle on projects and free up internal resources to either work on the project deliverables or do other business as usual activities so that the project work doesn’t negatively impact your day to day operations.

Over 20 years Drew has managed projects at both ends of the spectrum from small scale to programme management of a range of projects.  We can offer a whole host of project management help whether you need a light touch day a week to keep things on track or a full PRINCE II governed project we can help.  We can even help you decide what the appropriate level of governance might be for any given project to help you balance the management of issues and risk and keep the deliverables delivering without overwhelming your organisation with multi-layered governance and stakeholder engagement.  Of course where appropriate we can also deliver projects from stakeholder engagement through business case development, project initiation and ongoing project management committees ensuring that at every stage the project is on-track and accountable to the relevant people.

Merger Support

During the course of his career Drew has been heavily involved in several FE College mergers handling the IT workstream in each case; including all aspects of IT systems, infrastructure, telephony and also the non-technical elements such as team redesign and HR processes to emerge post-merger with a fit for purpose service and fully integrated systems.

During his time in the NHS Drew also oversaw the IT aspects of the hugely complex de-merger/merger process resulting from the change from the Primary Care Trust model to the new CCG/CSU model – in this case the moving of three PCTs into six CCGs and one CSU.  This included the transfer of assets and the renegotiation of 3rd party outsourced IT provision to match the new configuration and the subsequent re-tendering of the services to bring three legacy suppliers down to one.

Once again we are happy to be flexible in our approach whether this be simple advice and signposting of some of the potential pitfalls through to a full management of the merger process we are happy to talk.  We can even operate as an interim resource to ensure business as usual continues while the merger activities take place and keep the place ticking over while you out in place the full time team for the future of the merged organisation.
