We are pleased to announce that we have been appointed by Cirencester College to help guide and support them through a period of change within their ICT environment.

We will be working closely with the senior leadership team and other stakeholders to help them with their overall Digital Strategy development.

We will also be helping them upgrade and improve a range of ICT areas including:

  • Infrastructure Review and Refresh
  • Cyber Security (including CyberEssentials)
  • Device Management
  • Service Desk
  • Backup
  • Maintenance Contracts
  • New Build Developments

In addition we will be assisting them to bring all of their policies and procedures, documentation and workflows up to date to meet the needs of their users.

We are looking forward to working with the college community to develop their digital capabilities.

Update

Over the course of the (extended from 4 months to 8 months) engagement we were able to make significant progress across the whole range of areas that we discussed at the outset. Not least, we were able to work with the college to find an excellent full time Head of IT to take the whole ICT agenda forward.

We were also able to deliver:

  • Full migration of email and user files from on-premise to Office 365
  • Successful opening of a new build project
  • Replacement of the VMWare host environment with more modern and energy efficient hardware
  • Procurement for a whole campus LAN replacement (approx value £200,000) with planning in place for deployment once delivery of hardware underway
  • Full network and wireless design for a second new build including procurement of the wired and wireless hardware
  • A full set of ICT policies and procedures
  • Ready for Cyber Essentials assessment process
  • Enhanced backup processes and hardware with further planned improvements ready for the incoming Head of IT.
